Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

UDT09 Direct and Wildcard Links Subtasks

Use the UDT09S Direct and Wildcard Links subtasks of the UDT03 screen to add and/or delete UDT09 links.

Different column headings and data display in the table depending on whether you are using Direct or Wildcard links.

Note: The Direct Link or Wildcard subtasks display conditionally, depending on how link options are set on the UDT options tab of Configuration > General Controls > Configure General Settings. For example, if the UDT is configured as a direct link, the subtasks related to Wildcards do not display, or conversely, if configured as Wild Card, the Direct Links subtasks do not display.

The New function also performs differently depending on the configuration setting for the type of link.

UDT09 Direct Links Subtask

Note: If your version of Time & Expense is co-deployed with Costpoint, the Direct Links subtask is read-only, because modifications must be applied directly to the appropriate area within Costpoint.
Note: These columns display if you are using Direct links.
Field Description
UDT09 This column displays the currently linked UDT09s.
UDT03 Description This column displays the currently linked UDT03 descriptions.

UDT09 Wildcard Links Subtask

Note: These columns display if you are using Wildcard links.
Field Description
UDT09 This column displays the currently linked UDT09s.

When you add a new wildcard links, enter the UDT09 that you want to link, including wildcard characters. For example, enter "%123" to include all UDT09s that end in 123.

UDT03 Description This column displays the currently linked UDT03 descriptions.
