Manage Labor Groups/Unions
If you are using Union functionality, use the Manage Labor Groups/Unions screen to set up labor groups or unions.
The Labor Group/Unions table contains the codes and related descriptions for the Labor Group/Unions that exist within your company. The Labor Group field is required on the Manage Employee Salary Information screen if you selected the Enable Wage Determination Feature check box on the Configure Labor Settings screen. The Union field is required on the Employee Salary Information screen if you selected the Enable Union Functionality check box on the Configure Labor Settings screen.
The Labor Group field is one of the key fields on the Manage Wage Determination Rates screen, which contains hourly and fringe rates and usage codes.
You must set up Labor Group/Union codes before you can complete the Manage Wage Determination Rates, Manage Union Profiles, or Manage Employee Salary Information screens. You can add to this screen at any time, and you can establish an unlimited number of codes and descriptions.
