Contents of the Configure Contract Management Settings Screen
Use the fields and options to configure the Configure Contract Management Settings screen.
Contracts
Use the fields in this group box to set up how Costpoint should handle contract IDs.

Auto-Assign Contract IDs | Select this checkbox to have Costpoint automatically assign an ID to any new contract record. |
Last Contract ID |
Enter the last contract ID used. You must enter a value in this field if you select the Auto-Assign Contract IDs checkbox. This field defines the starting point for Costpoint-generated contract IDs. Costpoint uses this field to automatically number all contract IDs. You can use a combination of alphanumeric characters for contract IDs, but Costpoint increments only the rightmost numeric value. Make sure you enter enough numeric digits at the end of the ID as this determines the number of contract IDs that Costpoint can generate/increment. You can enter up to 15 numeric digits in this field. |
Default Type | Select the option for specifying contract defaults when creating new contract records. Valid options are:
The value specified here determines the type of record that you can enter and view on the Manage Contract Defaults screen. Each time you change this value, run Rebuild Global Settings before entering data in Manage Contract Defaults. |
Subcontracts
Use the fields in this group box to set up how Costpoint should handle subcontract IDs.

Last Subcontract ID |
Enter the last subcontract ID used. You must enter a value in this field if you select the Auto-Assign Subcontract IDs checkbox. This field defines the starting point for Costpoint-generated subcontract IDs. Costpoint uses this field to automatically number all subcontract IDs. You can use a combination of alphanumeric characters for subcontract IDs, but Costpoint increments only the rightmost numeric value. Make sure you enter enough numeric digits at the end of the ID as this determines the number of subcontract IDs that Costpoint can generate/increment. Allow Prospective Vendors to be assigned as Subcontractor/Vendor ID | Select this checkbox to allow users to assign prospective vendors to subcontract records on the Manage Subcontracts screen.
If you have assigned a prospective vendor to a subcontract and then you clear this checkbox, the prospective vendor will remain linked to the subcontract. Note, however, that you will no longer be able to assign prospective vendors to any other subcontract records unless you select this checkbox again. Note: For Costpoint Cloud, you can choose to opt in to this feature for the Costpoint 8.2.12 release. The ability to opt in is temporary and will be removed when the feature becomes automatically enabled for all users as part of a future Costpoint release. See the

Activities

Report Stored Parameters
Use the fields in this group box to specify parameters in viewing reports for contracts and subcontracts.

Project Status Report |
Enter, or click to select, the stored report parameter ID to be used for viewing the Project Status Report for contracts and subcontracts. When you select a report parameter ID, the parameter description displays in the field to the right. |
Project Labor Summary Report |
Enter, or click to select, the stored report parameter ID to be used for viewing the Project Labor Summary Report for contracts and subcontracts. When you select a report parameter ID, the parameter description displays in the field to the right. |
Project Non-Labor Detail Report |
Enter, or click to select, the stored report parameter ID to be used for viewing the Project Non-Labor Detail Report for contracts and subcontracts. When you select a report parameter ID, the parameter description displays in the field to the right. |
FY/Period/Subperiod Selection
Use this group box to specify the date to be used for viewing the reports.

Use Accounting Period Below |
Select this option to use the fiscal year/period/subperiod specified on this screen in the reports. The values in the Fiscal Year, Period, and Subpd fields are updated by the Update Project Status Report Tables application if the fiscal year, period, and subperiod selected in Update Project Status Report Tables are later than what exist in Configure Contract Management Settings, but can be modified. These values are updated whether or not the Use Accounting Period Below option is selected. The fiscal year, period, and subperiod indicated on this screen will always be used by the View Contract Financial Information application whether or not the Use Accounting Period Below option is selected. In addition, these fields are always required whatever option is selected in FY/Period/Subperiod Selection. |
Fiscal Year | Enter, or click to select, the fiscal year to be used for viewing project reports for contracts and subcontracts. |
Period | Enter, or click to select, the period to be used for viewing project reports for contracts and subcontracts. |
Subpd | Enter, or click to select, the subperiod to be used for viewing project reports for contracts and subcontracts. |
Use FY/Period/Subperiod from stored parameters | Select this option to use the fiscal year/period/subperiod from the selected stored report parameter in the reports. |
