Indirect Costs Subtask

Use this subtask to maintain Estimates-to-Complete for indirect costs.

Enter and maintain ETC amounts by fiscal year and cost pool for the project, organization, and account selected in the main screen. For example, if you are maintaining estimate-to-complete amounts for a direct labor account, you would enter estimates in this screen for each pool that burdens the direct labor account selected in the main screen.

Field Description
FY

Enter the fiscal year of the pool for which you are estimating costs.

Pool

Enter the pool number associated with this organization and for the fiscal year you entered.

Pool Name

This non-editable field displays the pool name.

Incurred

This field displays the costs incurred for this pool against the selected project, organization, and account. Incurred costs are updated from the project ledger by the Update Incurred Cost for ETC utility.

Estimate to Complete

Enter the estimate-to-complete amount for this pool. This amount may be calculated for you as part of the Compute Estimate to Complete process if you elected to update ETCs based on subtracting actual incurred costs from budgets. If you modify this amount, Costpoint recalculates the Latest Revised Estimate at Completion (LREAC) by adding Incurred and Estimate to Complete.

LREAC

Enter the LREAC amount for this pool. This amount may have been calculated for you as part of the Compute Estimate to Complete process if you elected to update ETCs based on subtracting actual incurred from budgets. If you modify this amount, Costpoint recalculates Estimate to Complete by subtracting Incurred from the LREAC. The formula is: LREAC = Incurred + ETC.

% Complete

Enter the percent complete for this pool. This amount may have been calculated for you by the Compute Estimate to Complete process if you elected to update ETCs based on subtracting actual incurred from budgets. If you modify the % Complete, Costpoint recalculates the LREAC by dividing Incurred by % Complete, and recalculates the ETC amount by subtracting Incurred from LREAC.

Previous EAC

This field displays the previous estimate at completion that was updated by the Compute Estimate to Complete process. Each time you revise ETC amounts, Costpoint copies the existing ETC amount and percent to previous estimate and percent.

Previous % Complete

This field displays the previous percent complete for the previous estimate at completion that was updated by the Compute Estimate to Complete process. Each time you revise ETC amounts, Costpoint copies the existing ETC amount and percent to the previous estimate and percent.

Budget

This field is non-editable. This pool amount is the total budget for this project, organization, and pool from the Manage Project Total Budget screen.

Indirect Last Update

This non-editable field displays the last time this pool was updated with a new ETC amount, LREAC amount, or % Complete.

COM Incurred

This field displays the incurred cost for cost of money for this pool against the project, organization, and account. You can update incurred costs with the Update Incurred Cost for ETC screen.

COM Estimtate to Complete

Enter the estimate-to-complete amount for Cost of Money relating to this pool. This amount may have been calculated for you by the Compute Estimate to Complete screen if you elected to update ETCs based on subtracting actual incurred from budgets. When you enter an amount, Costpoint recalculates the Latest Revised Estimate at Completion (LREAC) by adding Incurred and Estimate to Complete.

COM LREAC

Enter the LREAC amount for the Cost of Money for this pool. This amount may have been calculated for you by the Compute Estimate to Complete screen if you elected to update ETCs based on subtracting actual incurred from budgets. When you enter an amount, Costpoint recalculates Estimate to Complete amount by subtracting Incurred from LREAC. The formula is: LREAC = Incurred + ETC.

COM % Complete

Enter the % Complete for Cost of Money for this pool. This amount may have been calculated for you by the Compute Estimate to Complete screen if you elected to update ETC based on subtracting actual incurred from budgets. When you enter a percentage, Costpoint recalculates the LREAC by dividing Incurred by % Complete and recalculates Estimate to Complete by subtracting Incurred from LREAC.

COM Previous EAC

This non-editable field displays the previous estimate at completion for cost of money that was updated by the Compute Estimate to Complete screen.

COM Previous % Complete

This non-editable field displays the previous percent complete for cost of money for the previous estimate at completion.

COM Budget

This non-editable field displays the cost of money total budget amount for this project, organization, and account from the Manage Project Total Budget screen.

COM Last Update

This field displays the last time cost of money for this pool was updated with a new Estimate to Complete, LREAC, or % Complete.
