Open
up and save the formats that you would like to use.The following are guidelines that you should consider:
- If you maintain both employees and contractors on the Manage Employee Information screen and you use different formats for each, you may set up formatting rules for each. You will be able to link the Employee ID Format code to the appropriate resource type in the next step.
- If you maintain both employees and contractors in the same database and you use the same ID format for both, you may set up one formatting rule and apply it to both employees and contractors in the next step.
- If you have multiple companies in your database and you have different formats for each company, you will want to set up an Employee ID Format code for each. You will be able to link the Employee ID Format code to the appropriate company in the next step.
- If you have multiple companies in your database and more than one company use the same ID format, you do not need to set up a separate Employee ID Format code for each company. You can link the same code to multiple companies in the next step.
