How to Budget by Period
To budget by period, select the Budget by Period check box on the Info tab of the Manage Project Budgets and ETC screen.
We recommend that you create a total budget and then spread these amounts over the life of the project. You can build a period budget by entering a fiscal year and period for each row and, during recalculation, a total budget row is created. The period 0 fiscal year 0 row in a budget subtask represents the total budget amount for an organization and account combination row. The period rows display a fiscal year 19XX or 20XX and a period 1 - 18, depending on how your fiscal years and periods are established Costpoint General Ledger.
