Edit Node Subtask
After you add a node, use this subtask to edit information of the node or to add conditions/updates to the node.
This subtask is visible and enabled only if the step selected in the Approval Steps table window is an If, Group, Notify, or Finish node.

Field | Description |
---|---|
Name | This field displays the name of the node as entered on the Add Step subtask, but you can modify it. It is recommended that you enter a name that best describes the node. |
Type | This field displays the type of the node (If, Group, Notify, or Finish). You cannot modify this field. |
Role | If the step type is Notify, enter, or click to select, the role to notify. |
Message | If the step type is Notify, enter the notification message in this field. |
Subtasks
Subtask | Description |
---|---|
Conditions | Click this link to open the Conditions subtask and set conditions for the If node. This subtask is not visible for Group and Finish nodes. |
Updates | Click this link to open the Updates subtask and identify the entity fields that must be updated, and what their updated values should be, upon workflow completion. This subtask is visible and enabled only for the Finish node. |
