Contents of the Manage Compensation Plans Salary Ranges Screen
Use the fields and options to configure the Manage Compensation Plans Salary Ranges screen.
Enter the required data to create a new compensation plan salary range, or use to open an existing record for modification. Click to save all newly entered or modified data.
Identification
Use the fields in this group box to identify the period for which a compensation plan is effective.

Compensation Plan |
Enter, or click to select, the compensation plan code for which you are establishing this compensation plan salary range. |
Description |
When you enter a code in the Compensation Plan field, this field automatically displays the description associated with this compensation plan. |
Effective Date |
Enter, or click to select, the start date for this compensation plan. The date format is MM/DD/YYYY. |
End Date |
Enter, or click to select, the end date for this compensation plan. The date format is MM/DD/YYYY. |
Auto-Fill Percent Criteria
You can use this group box to select the number of rows to display for your compensation plan and to establish the minimum, mid-to-max, and maximum percentages to be used for this table. It can also be used as the starting grade amount.

Number Of Rows |
Enter the number of rows that the system generates. Normally, there is one row for each grade that you set up on the Manage Compensation Grades table. |
Minimum Range Percent |
Enter the minimum percent on which this table is based. This data field is valid only for Min-Mid-Max and Quartile plan types. |
Maximum Range Percent |
Enter the maximum percent for this plan's basis. This data field is valid only for Min-Mid-Max and Quartile plan types. |
Mid-to-Mid Percent |
Enter the percentage of change between grades. This data field is valid only for Min-Mid-Max and Quartile plan types. |
Start Grade Amount |
Enter the amount that you want to have as the starting point for this compensation plan. This data field is valid only for Min-Mid-Max and Quartile plan types. |

Grade/Step |
After clicking Auto-Fill Percent, enter the grade with which this compensation plan's salary range is to be associated. For Step plan types, enter the step level with which to associate this compensation plan's salary range. |
Column Titles |
If you selected Min-Mid-Max in the Plan Type group box on the Manage Compensation Plans screen, the first three columns default to Min, Mid, and Max, respectively. If you selected Quartile for your Plan Type, the first five columns will default to Q1 Start, Q2 Start, Q3 Start, Q4 Start, and Max, respectively. |

If you selected Step in the Plan Type group box on the Manage Compensation Plans screen, enter the salary that is to be associated with each level and column. If you selected Min-Mid-Max or Quartile in the Plan Type group box on the Manage Compensation Plans screen, click Auto-Fill Percent to generate the salaries for the applicable columns. |

If you selected a Min-Mid-Max or Quartile in the Plan Type group box on the Manage Compensation Plans screen, then click this button to generate the calculations needed to automatically complete this table. |
Subtask
Subtask | Description |

Recalculation | If you selected a Min-Mid-Max or Quartile in the Plan Type group box on the Manage Compensation Plans screen, click this button to open the Recalculation subtask, which recalculates the values of each column based on the factor that you enter. |
